On search engines...

For the last few months, I've been working on a new secret project in my spare time (which hasn't been much - hence progress has been slow). The secret project, though, is nearing completion (in my head, at least) - it's to be a new niche search engine, built in Java and C++. I have a website, at www.masidani.com, which will be operational at some time in the next few months.

I've been learning a lot of Java in the mean time, as well as Perl and PHP, Berkley DB and MySQL. All this as part of the development - it's been an educational experience, though sometimes a frustrating one.
